SIX SENSES SPOTS

YIN YANG

Righthander – 5 min by speedboat from resort

Yin Yang is a right hander that is situated at the outside corner of the reef pass of the resort. The wave has a soft wall & breaks into deep water. The wave goes fat as it bends around the corner then turns into a gnarly section as it unleashes on the reef. The long inside section can barrel up to 3 times and get intense as the wave wraps around the undulating reef.

SIX SENSES LEFT

Lefthander – 3 min by paddling

There is a left on the western side of the resort which needs a solid swell to turn on. Depending on the tides, swell size & wind direction the wave can be a reeling long fast wall to a fun beginners wave.

SIX SENSES RIGHT

Righthander – 10 min by speedboat or 10 minutes by paddling

A right hander which is a bit messy. It is located on the southern side of the island. This wave is very inconsistent, however, a great wave for beginners & intermediates on the higher tides. It is an easy paddle from the Ocean Villa jetties or the beach.

SIX SENSES BANKS

2 min by speedboat

This A-Frame needs a solid swell to break & very light or no wind. The left is better & has a steep take off and a nice ramp to smack or launch off at the end.

GADHOO

Lefthander – 15 min by speedboat

This wave is a swell magnet and is rarely crowded as it is hard to catch it with the right conditions as it is exposed to the trade winds, however, with easterly or no winds it is worth checking. The wave has many moods from a beach break style of wave to a fast reeling left just around the corner.

REFUGEE’S RIGHT

Righthander – 40 by speedboat

This wave barrels and spits. It is a Fast and shallow take off.  More suited for advanced surfers.

REFUGEE’S LEFT

Lefthander – 40 min by speedboat

This lefthander picks up a lot of swell, is very heavy & shuts down more often then not.

TSUNAMIS

Righthander – 45min by speedboat

When the swell is solid this wave is amazing. It has 3 sections (The outside, the corner & the inside) to it and they can all link up when all the right conditions come together. From the Outside you can pull into the tube straight after the take off, after you come blasting out of the tube you get shot towards the corner where the waves go a litte bit soft and give you a breather to cruise and lay down some turns, they the wave starts to pick up momentum again as its start reeling along the reef it hits the inside where there is a long heaving barrel section. Keep an on the currents as they can get very strong.

OPPOSITE TSUNAMIS

Lefthander – 45min by speedboat

Is the biggest swell magnet on Laamuatoll.  The reef is straight and tends to close out. If Tsunamis is not breaking this left is a fun option. It is protected from the W to N winds.

LANGON BANK

Righthander – 60 min by speedboat

Needs a solid E swell & is protected from the S winds & and is rarely crowed due to the lack of anchorage options for the charters boat that are heading past.
